Membership Categories

Student Member

A student member is an applicant who is currently following an academic / training programme offered by AICTP or an institute / organization recognized by the AICTP. This category is not considered as a full member and is not eligible for the full benefits offered by AICTP. This member category does not possess voting rights at the Annual General Meetings.

Associate Member

An Associated member is an applicant who has partially fulfilled eligibility to become a certified or professional member. This applicant may be currently following an academic / training programme offered by AICTP or an institute / organization recognized by AICTP and possess working experience in the industry exceeding more than 01 year. This category is not considered as a full member and is not eligible for the full benefits offered by AICTP. This member category possess voting rights at the Annual General Meetings. Associate members can use the term “Associate ICT Professional” with the acronym “AICTP”.

Certified Member

A Certified member is an applicant who possess / completed a professional certification related to ICT from a recognized / reputed training programme / institute / certification body / organization recognized by AICTP or a qualification offered by AICTP. This category is not considered as a full member and is not eligible for the full benefits offered by AICTP. However, certain benefits offered for professional members are entitled for this member category. This member category possesses voting rights at the Annual General Meetings. Certified members can use the term “Certified ICT Professional” with the acronym “CICTP”.

Professional Member

A Professional member is an applicant who possess / completed an undergraduate study programme related to ICT or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institute recognized by AICTP or a qualification offered by the AICTP. This category is considered as a full member and is eligible for the full benefits offered by AICTP. This member category possesses voting rights at the Annual General Meetings. Professional members can use the term “ICT Professional” with the acronym “MAICTP”.

Fellow Member

A Fellow member is an applicant who possess / completed a post-graduate study programme related to ICT or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institute recognized by AICTP or a qualification offered by AICTP. This category is considered as a full member and is eligible for the full benefits offered by AICTP. This member category possesses voting rights at the Annual General Meetings. Fellow members can use the term “ICT Fellow” with the acronym “FAICTP”.

Honorary Member

The Board of Trustees with the consent of two third majorities of the members may elect any persons of eminence as an Honorary Member of AICTP. Such an Honorary Member shall have the same privileges as an Ordinary Member but shall not be eligible to vote.

Subscription

All other member categories shall pay a "registration fee" and an "annual membership fee" prescribed by the Board from time to time. The annual subscription is payable before 31st January of the respective year, to the Association. If annual subscription in arrears is not paid by the end of the year, after due notification has been given to the member in writing by the President / Secretary General to the last known address, he / she shall cease to be a member of the Association.
